ABOUT
CAPITAL WASTE is a video-artist/VJ/cinematographer based on Kaurna Yarta, South Australia. Initially spawning from the film and animation industry before gravitating toward experimental moving image mediums, CAPITAL WASTE now works across cinema, XR/VR experiences, large-scale outdoor projection, live AV performances, online and gallery installations. Their work explores our complicated human connection to nature influenced by the technological world we exist in today by blending repurposed obsolete tech with realtime rendering engines to explore media archeology and critiques of anthropocentrism.
Their cinematic background informs their approach to installation and game development by using compositional mise-en-scène for environment design in both physical installations and virtual environments for screen or live performance.
CAPITAL WASTE has created visual material with M.I.A, Pussy Riot, Gabber Modus Operandi, The Angels, Kaiit, Mei Simones, Drifting Clouds, EYƎ and Plastiq.
